FORTHCOMING SLROC EVENTS / SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO TRY ...

The Club is holding a Taster RTV event at Glenmavis on Sunday 26th January which is not part of the annual Championship but a day out to shake the dust off our Land Rovers after the long Christmas break.

All road taxed (and tax exempt) Land Rovers are welcome and any Marshals looking for a day out will be made very welcome.

It will be an ideal occasion for drivers who have been taking part in our TYRO events to try something a little more challenging and for any other Club members who would like to do some off-roading by trying out the 10 sections.

Tickets cost the usual £22.50 to cover the fees for the Motorsport permit and the land owner.  These are available from the Club website:

The first RTV Championship event will be held on Sunday 2nd February, also at Glenmavis when the CCV cars will be welcome.

FOR SALE / WANTED / Wanted: Series 2 Trials Car, Running or Basket Case.

Hi Folks.

I'm on the look out for a Series 2 Trials car but if this proves difficult i would consider a series 3.

If you have one sitting around outside under a tarp which shredded years ago and decide you want to move it on please let me know.  I'll consider any options, 2.25 petrol / diesel or V8.

I have no intention of this car being road legal so hopefully this simplifies the search.

I'm keen to have a go in a car which trialing started out from, not interested at this stage of my search in a defender.

Hopefully my internal organs and pelvis will be up to the leaf spring punishment.

Any positive leads would be greatly appreciated.

These old vehicles need to be preserved and more importantly used.

Happy New Year @everyone!

If you are planning on taking part in one of our events this year, please (as usual) forward a copy of you Motorsport UK RS Clubman Licenses to entries@slroc.co.uk or feel free to Messenger them to me.

If you had applied or renewed late last year you should now have had an email with the license attached.   (Please check your junk / spam folder in case you missed it.)

If you have not yet applied, please go to https://www.motorsportuk.org/get-started/ where you will find the link to apply.   Remember the online  version of the license is free and this is all you need.

Events start next weekend, so you need to get those cars ready.
