Series 3 gear shift springs

Hi There,
I have a series 3 that when 1st gear selected it goes into reverse. I have bought the two springs that apparently are the cause of the issue however I havnt seen how they should be attached and I dont have a manual.

I am looking for an image of the springs connected. And if anyone knows the procedure involved in fitting that would be great..
