I bought the Disco in December 2006 and have only done SLROC Green Road Runs and Driving Days - oh and 1 Tyro (it was enough !
)
The Safari version was one of the last of the D1s and came with various extras as standard, like the roof ladder and side step rails and fancy wee badges in front of the front doors !
Naturally, being a Disco, all is not perfect ! I'll give a summary of what I know is not quite right ...
- picture the scene: SLROC Driving Day, track has a steep drop-off on the driver's side, so it seemed wise to keep over to the other side ... where there was a nice big boulder
. Result: bent NS sidestep rail but NO damage to the sill
- NS rear door doesn't always
lock/unlock with the remote fob
- rear door usually does 
Sorted- radio has a mind of its own - remove the fuse to turn off
- cd player has never played for me
- rear sunroof leaked, so I removed the headlining and it's fixed ... most of the time ....
- battery doesn't like cold weather much New battery now !- fogs got a bit wet ...
- spots are temperamental
I'm short of the mojo to sort these mainly minor irritations, so I'll give a discount on the asking price.
