Lightweight throttle linkage
« on: March 13, 2013, 07:54:07 PM »
Any chance someone with a Lightweight or SII/SIII (I hope they're the same) could have a look at their throttle linkage? A photo of the driver's end of the rod that runs across the front of the bulkhead would be absolutely ideal.

My linkage fouls on the back of the dashboard, at the pedal end, meaning that I can't get the full range of movement at the carb. (It has also jammed with the pedal down a couple of times!   :o ) But the thing is, although I'm sure mine is wrong, I don't know how it ought to be assembled differently (or from what different bits).

It's a 1974 SIII Lightweight. And I've attached a picture of what mine looks like.

Thanks in advance!

  • I'm not completely daft. Some pieces are missing.

Ta v much (and your photo is clearer than mine); I'll hopefully get to have a poke around this weekend and see if I can figure out what's up.
