Alternator wanted
« on: December 11, 2012, 09:45:15 PM »
I'm converting my 1941 Chevy Pickup to 12V (6v lights are rubbish) and am in need of an alternator as part of the conversion.

After doing some measurements an alternator from a 2.5 petrol Land Rover should fit the bill.

If anyone has one in their garage please let me know what you are looking for and I can arrange for collection - I'm in Gullane.

Thanks

Thanks Drew,

I'll keep all the bits but I want to use it more and 6V lights are so bad.

Bolt on one would be great, if it's got the 1/2" pulley.

Your welcome to have a shot in the Chevy anytime, and let me know when you're around so I can pick it up, meet somewhere, or pop down here to see the other barn you didn't have time for....
