300 Tdi Rad into 200 Tdi ?

Asking for a friend -

How difficult would it be/is it possible at all to fit a 300Tdi Disco rad into a 200Tdi Defender ?  As you might guess he's got a gubbed 200 Tdi Rad and a chance of a cheap 300 Disco one...

Hi,

I'm not a mechanic so can't answer any technical questions but the Landy 90 I bought recently has a discovery 200 TDI engine fitted with a 300 TDI radiator and inter cooler .

I can send you photos if that any help.

I have a 300rad in my 200tdi it fits no problem, the lower hose has a slight curve more than normal as it goes past the power steering box. The bottom right hand intake tube has been blanked off. I also have a very small extension made to the top oil cooler pipe, just to make sure. The bottom one connected no probs. no leaks, so all is good ;D

Hi G,

Forgot to say my top hose has an extension piece fitted as you can see, this is only because the hose split, i now have a new hose just not fitted yet,
