I am trying to fit a steering guard to my '89 defender. There are four bolts for mounting it to the chassis - two where you normally put jate rings through, one on the drivers side that uses an existing bolt through the panhard rod bracket and then I can't work out where the other one is. According to the instructions there should be a similar panhard rod mounting bracket for LHD vehicles on the nearside but I don't seem to have it. Is there a difference in models or because mine is older that means I don't have this bracket? If anyone can post a picture of the nearside mounting point on their defender then it would be helpful.
