« on: February 18, 2011, 08:11:18 PM »
Folks, i hope you dont mind me posting this, but PLEASE PLEASE keep a look out for this dog

Abberline is a Northern Inuit. Went missing from Kings Park area of Stirling when on a walk, on Thursday 17th Feb.

Female, All white, with amber eyes.

Maybe nervous of strangers. If anyone sees this girl could they please contact the dog warden or call her owner on 07903637463

Gene, Yes Husky type dog.

She could even be mistaken for a white GSD, but the Amber eyes is the giveaway.

ooo god worst nightmare i could imagine i ahve dogs myself and id have a fit if they went missing. Stay in the area she went missing hopefully she was chasing a scent and got lost in her own world. Contact the local police say its a very valuable working dog and post pics up evrywhere. Was she fixed? askign as dogs do get stolen for breeding farms the worst scenario. Em if you ahve a CB broadcast it over that. backtrack the entire route to and from the walk dogs ahve an amzing ability to find home over huge distances if not picked up on the way. kncock on all local doors do all you can dont be shy its a family memeber after all stop evryman and their dog and ask then ask again. really hope she turns up but gota really keep ontop of it now especially in this cold weather she will be frightened and wanting to get home and trying to figure that out for herself. Sorry we so far away being in midlothian or id be straight out hunting her down.

Hi, sorry to hear about your dog going missing, this might sound stupid but when I was working in Sweden as a gamekeeper, we'd often loose at least one dog every shoot day, what we did to get them back was leave a piece of clothing with our scent on it, jacket etc. at or near the last seen location. And 9 times out of 10 even after a couple days we'd find the missing pooch lying on top of the jacket. Just a suggestion, hope you find her soon

Mel,

Really sorry to hear about your dog. I'm sure you will get her back. Is she 'chipped'?

Kind regards,

Sandy.

Sorry to hear she's missing.  Anyword on her yet?

Defintely get her registered on Doglost and the National Missing Pet Register.

Poster the area - get photographs out, speak to dog walkers around the area, speak to the police and make sure you get a reference number from them.  Check Bandeath Dog Shelter.  Phone the vets in the area and further afield just incase she's maybe been injured and taken in.

There's a dog up for rehoming just now in Bandeath that was picked up in Kilmarnock - Don't take anything for granted where people are concerned that they will hand her into the nearest police station!

Hi folks,

Thanks for your posts. I should have said, that i was posting on behalf of the dogs owner. ( not me )

I have 5 dogs of my own who are my 'canine navigators' who come with me on camping trips, tyros, comps and hill rallies. They are my life, and i would be distraught if any went missing.

Yes, Abberline is chipped, and there have been umpteen posters put out, and lots of places have been contacted and visited. Everyone and their aunty has been looking out for her. Also on facebook. This is the 2nd whole day shes been missing. :(

Abberline is still missing. :( :(  Her owner, Lisa, is getting more distraught by the day.

Anyone who reads this, please pass on to anyone anywhere about this much missed dog-she could be anywhere by now. :(

Thanks all.

NO 'fraid not.. :( :( Possibility shes been stolen.

How can such a distinctive dog vanish into thin air?

Loads of folk have been looking for her. Owner has been phoning police/dog warden/rescue centres on a daily basis. DogLost and another ( cant remember the name) have her on database. She's been put on various forums/posters in schools/taxis/radio stations..you name it, she's posted on it, but she just vanished... :( :( :(
