Hi folks,
Please note change of date from that published in Calendar - our first green road run of 2018 will be in the ever popular forests around Aberfoyle on Sunday 4th March - exact route still being discussed with Forestry Commission.
Usual meeting place which is the car park behind the Woollen Mill shop, just off the high street. Signing on from 10am then setting off in groups with last departure at 11am - don't be late! There are toilets, shops and fuel close by. Event is open to Land Rovers only (and Range Rovers) and there must be at least one club member in each vehicle. Non-members that want to participate can join on the day. Bring a picnic for lunch - friends and family welcome too.
More details of the routes we will be driving will be published once confirmed.
Would be great to start the year off with a good turnout so please spread the word and encourage folks to come along and give it a try. For those that haven't been to a GRR before, it's an opportunity to use your Land Rover off-road on straightforward forest tracks, and not a problem for road going vehicles on standard tyres. It's a chance to get to drive in areas not open to public vehicles, and to see some of the scenery the Trossachs offers from different viewpoints.
It would be helpful if you could post on here if planning to go - useful to know how many are likely to be there.
Plea for help - anyone??? As ever, we are still looking for members to come up with new ideas, venues, locations, contacts to approach, etc., for us to broaden out the range of destinations for GRRs - please give this some thought and if you have any ideas at all, get in touch.
Thanks, Alan
