Lock solenoid wiering
« on: November 09, 2016, 09:30:05 PM »
Hi guys looking to see if I have this right, wanting to wire a single central locking solenoid to a switch , this won't be wiered to any other circuit but a stand alone circuit.
Cheers Iain

Should work, assuming your just trying to reverse polarity onto the solenoid by switching the switch to activate the relays.  Why use relays? you could manage the same with a single centre off double pole switch - available from ebay for about £3

Cheers for reply was thinking just a switch but after talking to a friend he said to use relays but I didn't really think it was necessary thought I would just ask on here.

Cheers Iain
