Electrics Help Needed!
« on: September 17, 2016, 01:04:34 PM »
I have a Series 3 Landrover first registered 1/12/81 which I am restoring. Having stripped the chassis, I have replaced it with a new galvanised one.
Engine is fully reconditioned, transmission sorted, and hydraulics done.
But I am stuck with the electrics! This car has a duel braking system with a valve and switch but this does not figure in any of my books. There are several black and white cables going from the cabin to engine compartment. Two such cables went to the servo unit where a non-return valve should be.
Please can anyone shed light on this??
Many thanks :)
Tony

Hi Tony, on my old manual ther is a wire (WR) from ign sw to the brake check relay and from the relay (BW) to the brake fluid switch on the master cylinder then to the instrument panel (BW) to the light cluster light for the brake system, other side of the switches to earth. Hope this might help you.
