Discovery series 1 chassis lightened and strengthened as per normal Tomcat build.
Fia spec roll cage
Usual Tomcat body work in fibreglass and aluminium. Fibreglass one piece transmission tunnel.
Body in white gel coat.
Discovery 1 axles.
Front axle recastored +12 degrees, strengthening kit fitted.
Front diff 4.75 ratio pegged with tomcat lsd core, Ashcroft heavy duty shafts, heavy duty prop shaft with wide angle universal joints.
Rear axle converted to front radius arms and panhard rod, strengthening kit fitted, 4.75 ratio pegged with tomcat lsd core,
Ashcroft heavy duty shafts, heavy duty prop with wide angle joints.
Blindo alloy wheels, will come with spare blindo’s and mach 5 wheels, all wheels come with Fedima Extreme tyres all at different amount of wear, but generally all not too bad.
Brakes
Disco 1 servo and master cylinder. Separate brake flexi hoses.
Front - solid discs with discovery 1 4 pot calipers, Rear - solid discs with discovery 1 4 pot calipers
Standard drum hand brake
Suspension
Tomcat race springs (front and rear specific) Fox 2.5 series dampers with remote reservoirs, 300mm travel. Tomcat specific valving. Check straps. Full Super Pro bush set (Tomcat specific), only done 3 races with bushes, checked all in good shape
Steering
Disco 1 column, removable suede steering wheel, Quick ratio steering box. Heavy duty steering bars, 2 x OME steering dampers.
Stainless steel braided power steering hoses and steering oil cooler
Electrical
Full Tomcat international wiring loom. Caerbont TVR spec gauges, Heated windscreen. Disco 2 switch gear on steering column. gel battery.
Engine
GM LS3 V8 approx 440 bhp 440 lb/ft torque, gm injection system and ecu. custom exhaust system 2.5inch bore mild steel.
Cooling
Large capacity Tomcat aluminium radiator, mounted on rear bulkhead, twin 305mm high capacity fans on automatic system. Stainless steel cooling pipes and silicone hoses. Aluminium header tank in air duct.
Transmission
Tremec manual 5 speed gearbox(can handle 600 lb/ft of torque) twin plate organic AP racing clutch.
Discovery 2 transfer box 1.2 ratio
General
Tomcat aluminium screen washer reservoir, rear mounted. Headlamp washer pump and jets giving very high volume washers.
Approx 100 litre aluminium low mount fuel tank, external high volume/pressure pump, large capacity, cleanable pre filter, and post pump filter. Braided fuel lines, double breather valves.
Tomcat pro carbon seats, with carbon head restraint, by Motordrive, TRS 5 point harnesses.
Gas struts to lift bonnet (1) and rear roof (2).
The racer has only completed in 4 races in 2013, built in 2012 with all new parts
