insurance for modified range rover pick up

hi iv got a 1972 range rover which has been modified into a pickup. just trying to get insurance for a 20 yr old. iv spent hours phoning insurance companies but no one will insure me! any suggestions on specialist insurance companies? thanks

Brentacre, Norcounty, Adrian Flux, Sureterm, all of whom will cover modified 4x4's and a few other specialist 4x4 insurers.

Your wasting your time with comparison sites and high street companies on a motor like that

thanks. iv tried a few of them but they wouldn't do it. just kept getting put through to someone who had no idea how to insure the car. I'll give them a phone tomorrow cheers

I'd try Lancaster - I've had my last couple of trucks covered through them on a 6k maximum mileage basis pa and reasonable.  Alan.
