Landrover Defender 50th for sale - Factory 4ltr V8
« on: May 09, 2013, 06:49:41 PM »
After only owning it for 5 months it seems that I might need to realise the house deposit that I used to purchase my Landrover Defender 50th Anniversary (number GB131) in January. So if the right offer comes along it will have to go...

The Defender 50th Anniversary edition was built specifically for the 50th Anniversary of Landrover in 1998.  It is an S reg but is on a private plate (P50 ANV).  It was built with a 4ltr V8 (standard range rover spec) and an auto gearbox, an external roll cage, and a special colour paint (they did the full range of the 50th Anniversary models in this colour).  It is a really original with the only extras being some roof lights, chrome interior trim fittings, Bluetooth car kit, CD player and a CB radio. There is also a box of spare bits and any original bits that have been removed. It has a full service history (some main dealer, some Landrover specialist) and has done just over 60,000 miles. It has recently had new spark plugs and HT leads and has genuine Landrover mats throughout. It is a standard 4ltr V8 and the engine is all original. I think it runs really well and it pulls like a train (though don't buy one if you don't like visiting petrol stations!!!).

It has MOT until January 2014 and is taxed until the end of July 2013. The interior is really good and the body work is good. There are a few of the usual bubbles starting to appear, but I am informed in had a windows out respray a couple of years ago.

Pictures can be viewed here.... they are all recent.

Happy to answer any questions and I am open to serious offers (but come view it first and make sure it is what you are after, it really is a special vehicle!). I am not racing to sell it so no silly offers please(you can see what good ones sell for on the internet, and this is a good example).  I really want to sell it to an enthusiast as this is a special vehicle, not any old Defender, and I wouldn't want to see it messed with!  There are not that many of these about, and even less of them in Scotland.

I am totally gutted to be having to sell, but it was the deal with my other half when I bought it. I may consider px for a cheaper (but solid and tidy) Defender, but the figures would need to work out!  I can't live without any Landrover!!

DM me for more info.

Matt
