whats the best park brake

right  WHATS BEST    x-brake or  original park brake    i do intend to play with my landrover  but it is an every day toy for me

Nothing wrong with the original item, if it's maintained correctly  :-X

An X-brake is a good bit of kit (like all X-Eng bits) (and quite bling) but they were expensive for pads - but I think Simon might have sorted that with the later ones.

xbrake wont hold a winch according to their site, i fitted a later cable type handbrake to my 110 from disco

yes. 300 tdi direct entry cable type is the way to go. you can modify original handbrake lever using the tube from a discovery lever with some carefull grinding and welding. Even passes the MOT!
