Andrew, the only daft question is the one you don't ask.
A GRR - Green Road Run - is our version of what is known as "Green Laning" south of the border - A non-competitive and usually scenic drive on, mostly, Forest and Estate tracks. The biggest difference is that we have to ask for permission as its mostly all private land, south of the border they have a much larger network of legal vehicle navigable rights of way. Think of it as "Rambling by Landrover" .
The way we try to organise it is to get permission for a decent length of a drive, put some arrows out if the route is not clear then set folk off with a map in smallish groups so we generate a bit of teamwork, get to know each other etc etc. We also try to grade the route red, yellow, green so that there is a way round that anyone can do in their Evoke ....but with some red "detours" with more lumps and bumps, maybe tight vegetation, so possibly more challenging driving but offset against having to get the "T-Cut" and polish out afterwards
.
Look at some of the pics for older runs and you'll get the idea. All you need is a Landrover, packed lunch and a tow-rope, just in case.
See you on March 3rd ?
Easy Scenic stuff.....
