landrover 90 wing mirror bolt size?

what size bolts do you use on a defender 90 style of wing mirror. the 2 bolts that hold it onto the cab?

thats what I thought, but the top hole of my new mirror, is really slack and bottom hole is very tight?, alittle weird

They're quarter UNF, a M6 will rattle slack.
