300TDi Clutch
« on: September 22, 2012, 04:40:00 PM »
In the middle of a clutch job on my beloved 110, I blew the clutch with a bit of over-exuberance in my field.
I decided to go down the remove the gearbox path, everything is going fine if a bit time consuming.
Ready to get the engine crane onto the gearbox tomorrow morning.  I got a heavy duty clutch, release fork, and I thought I'd replace the slave cylinder while I was in amongst it.

Not really a question but any issues I should look out for?

Nope.... but lining it all up to get the gearbox back in can result in a million swearwords!

When it gets bad, walk off for a coffee.... and go back to it after 20 minutes cooling off.

Make sure you put the clutch plate in the right way round. It's written upon the plate.

I never mention that Dave T put a plate in back to front, swore blind it was correct and wondered why it didn't work.
You put your foot in it   ;D
