how do you fit a steering guard to a series 3?

Got a steering guard with no instructions and looking for advice before I get the drill out.

The first front bolts obviously fit to the front spring bolt but where do the rear ones go?

Do I drill holes thought the front spring hanger?

Anyone provide a pic of one already fitted?

Reluctant to start drilling holes.
We all know that small cars are good for us. But so is cod liver oil. And jogging.

Hi Pete,
I also have a series and I had similar problem when trying to fit. See attached pickie of my arrangement.
As you say the front hole lines up with the spring bolt forward. There was no natural hole for the back one in my chassis. I got round this by welding a plate to the bracket which I bolted to my winch bumper. Hope this helps but looks like you may have to get the black and decker out after all.
Best of luck.
