« on: June 24, 2012, 10:31:44 PM »
hi i have just got a 1986 90 V8 station wagon that needs work.
im having a problem getting the right green paint as there is no code on the chassis plate under the bonnet.
is there some where i could get a paint code chart? or some info? or someone who can tell me what the paint is called!

thanks!!!!

Jason, Welcome aboard - there are several websites that cover LR paint codes, Google is your best bet.  As for colour why not stick up a pic ? Upload a pic to a site like photobucket, copy the "img" file and paste it into a reply.  As a fr'instance my 90 in the adjoining thread on station wagon conversions is "Coniston" green.

Cheers,

Gene

...edited to add.

And note. A nice dark Green is the only proper colour for Landrovers. Anything else is wrong, particularly that nasty purple.  ;D

I phoned LR customer services with chassis number, they can tell you exactly how it left the factory.

http://www.stephen.hull.btinternet.co.uk/chart2.html is the page that gave the colour codes for the SLROC web site (& forum)
