Drumclog driving day
« on: May 27, 2012, 08:09:10 PM »
An absolutely fantastic day out at Drumclog today, only manged to find 6 of the 10 plates, but did discover some new bits that I'd never been to before. Just a bit disappointing with the small turn out but then it did leave more room for everyone else, and there was still plenty of mud! 😨😨😨

A couple of photos here to prove its not a shiny anymore

Now just need to sort that damm drop arm ball joint once and for all 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱

Fantastic day, been to Drumclog loads of times and didn't realise half the place existed. The weather today made it so accessible, really surprised by the turnout, you guys missed a lot of fun.

As Dave said we only found about 6 reg plates, Ian, I think you were havin us on! Lol

It was a great day Al,

It looks like we're going to the Tyro on Saturday as well if you can make it.

I managed to get that steering box you mentioned so maybe you, me & Dave could get together and do Dave's drop arm and my box at the same time:)

I had a top day at Drumclog yesterday - really enjoyed myself. Many thanks to Dave, Stephen & Al for letting this newbie tag along. (I learnt loads, albeit as much through osmosis as trial!).

Thanks a lots chaps  ;D
(as Al pointed out, my christmas list is becoming extensive/ expensive!!)

We to had a great day, or should that be morning as it was cut short due to a slave cylinder giving up. A massive thank you to the lovely lady who gave me her brake fluid, so that I could make it home. Thanks!!!

I'm hoping that's my ball joint done again now, looks like I didn't get the circlip seated properly and the bottom all fell out. Second time round appeared a lot easier except getting the circlip in, even when compressing the spring with a jack and extension piece. Just need to try it again now!

Yeah, great day out, lots of driving through (and up) rivers.  Was surprised at the turnout, thought it might have been busier.

Bit more 'damaging' than usual, my 90 now has that wee bit more 'character', but all good fun!!

Huge thanks to those who helped tow David out when he was stuck Twice!   Dave T - thanks for coming along with the winch too! (Added to Christmas wish list lol)

Totally gutted I had to miss this one..no way I was getting one of my first 3 days back at work off after 2 weeks annual leave lol...love Drumclog, really hope there's another driving day there that I can come to. I've only ever watched the action at the SCCC at Drumclog and wished I could go play so very disappointed to miss this :( Looks like everyone had a great time...judging by the pictures I would probably have landed myself in a whole heap of trouble several times over!!! fun!!!
