Green Road Run, Bosnian Road
« on: April 29, 2012, 06:34:49 PM »
Great day out with brilliant weather, although organisers, could we have a less chilly breeze next time please.  ;D

First off road outing for my defender which survived ........ mostly intact. I must admit to a wee mishap on the way home, steering felt a little wooly, even more than normal, so when we stopped and gave it a really good shake one of the track rod ends fell out  :o :o :o :o Fixed with my spare track rod and got home ok in the end, new track rod ends on order.

Here are a few photos, for those that know mine, I haven't shot any on sport mode ....... promise

I suppose 1 rear step and 1 track rod end ain't bad for what you done in 25 days especially with the type of "shake down run" you gave it today.

Was an excellent day out, brilliant weather apart from,as you say, that chillie breeze in places.

Yes it was a bit of a "shake down" run, although at 4pm when Alan and I were checking nobody was lost/ still in the forest before the Army went in for an exercise*, the tracks had been smoothed down very nicely after all those Discos and Defenders had acted as road rollers, the track was certainly less rattle inducing than when I drove road the route at 9:30 this morning!

* as the last 4 of us left the site a platoon of squaddies in full camo gear/ make-up on too, with SLR's and full battle gear were making their way in through the gate in group protection formation.

Och, the breeze was OK, helped with the cooling!  A really brilliant day out, thanks.
