That'll be time for a new chassis then

At the GRR last weekend I was thinking "something just doesn't feel quite right". I knew I had a small crack on the main cross member (the one just in front of the rear wheels) but I certainly wasn't expecting this, sort of explains it I think. I was hoping it woulkd last till the warmer weather but it brings a chassis change forward a bt I think! In case you aren't sure, this is where the A frame mounts to the chassis :o :o :o

Been there, got the teeshirt. Thats what my ( '96 300 Tdi) chassis looked like after a few mild wallops with a hammer - all along both main rails.

New Galv chassis. Not cheap but certainly the way forward.
