Trailor I can borrow?
« on: February 24, 2012, 07:46:26 PM »
After cleaning my chassis this afternoon I discovered a huge hole I my chassis bringing my impending chassis change forward. In anticipation of having to go and pick up a chassis down south somewhere, does anyone have a Trailor I could borrow in the near future that would be big enough to pick up a 90 chassis?

Hi

Why go South, I bought one from Mathew Webster @ Tayside Land Rovers (01764 683535) the price was very competitive & he delivered it to me. Saved a lot of grief & the quality was first class. I am now awaiting delivery of one from him for my 110 project vehicle.
PS I have no business connection with him.

 Regards

Never heard of them before will try tomorrow. The places I have tried so far have been a good few hundred quid more than picking up from the manufacturer, so if I can borrow a Trailor I am still well up after diesel! I'm the impatient sort as well so delivery time will also come into it!

Called Tayside today, if I'd managed to get him Friday it would have been a bargain, but he sold last one Friday for 1020 plus VAT, need to get one through Britpart now which puts price up somewhat. So cheapest option by a few hundred quid is going South.

Often worth getting the quality product, might make the job a little easier/straightforward.

Given the overall cost and general faff, its certainly worthwhile going for a maker with a good reputation and getting a galv one. No point in having another drama in 5 years time.
If its not broken you are not trying hard enough....

It was Britpart as a supplier, not maker.

Gone for a Marsland one, need to sell my body now but going to collect certainly saves getting on for £200 even after fuel costs.

Never crossed my mind that Britpart would be making them,
just never knew where they would source them.

I was thinking cut out the middle man & deal straight with the manufacturer.
(not that, that always means a cheaper purchase price, with some stuff)
Have fun with it now that you are sorted.

What area are you in, for the loan of the trailer?
