300 TDi cylinder head.

As above looking for some advice on a 300 TDi cylinder head,I will have to get one.The one on mine has a gash 3"x 3/4" x 1/16 between cylinders 2 +3 (now I know where the water went on the way up to the BDB at Larbert) would I be better getting a new one, reconditioned one or might I be lucky that somebody just happens to have one kicking around taking up space ? If I go for one where would the best place be to get it from...all suggestions welcome.    Cheers       Duncan

Have you tried any scrapyards plenty of rusty 300tdi discos with good engines ? theirs a good yard out by bonny bridge if this helps.

Paddocks are not bad for price for a new one complete with valves.

 :o Does anyone know if a 200TDI cylinder head is similar or the same ? Some of the info I have read is saying they are. Looking at all options before I commit (spendin money is a sign of inefficiency ! ) Duncan

i got a brand new head (bare) for a 300tdi could sell it if you need  :)

hello,i have a 300 tdi head with no valves, i removed it to fit performace head about 2 years ago, you can have for £20 if you like. ;)
