HI i have decided to sell my series 3 that iv had for a few years and bought it damaged and have built it up.

It is a 1980 V reg 2.25 Diesel millage says 91k but no idea if thats right its mot`d for another 9months and taxed until the end of 31st march.

its had hundreds of new parts fitted.

chassis is completely solid  only had one tiny hole in drivers outrigger and i had a new outrigger put on. bulkhead is pretty good to.

inc new alternator

full clutch kit

brakes fully overhauled ince new shoes springs  cylinders  hoses and copper lines. also have some spares for the future.

new brake master clyinder clutch master cylinder and slave.

all electrics work and so does the heater/blower

has 4 very good AT tyres fitted

new galv front bumper  the front 3 seats are very good nick and are the delux ones driver and pass have proper seatbelts.

the rear has to ocassional benches either side one of these needs a new lower foam pad.

i have sound deadened the front cab too.

new brake light switch

new oil pressure switch

new lower and new door top on the drivers side.

new locks.

new diesel lift pump and filter

have changed the oil and filter and all the diffs and gearbox oils only 300 miles ago.


new bearmach rear springs i painted the green on the body myself and has come out really good (still have half a can of paint)


its a great wee landrover.

Sorry its a bit dirthy under there but hope it show how good a chassis it is.

 Just to clarify when i say it was damaged when i got it.

 It was subject to an insurance write off had damaged front drivers wing and door these have been replaced and the landy has been VIC checked by VOSA and passed and mot`d and i have the V5 in my name and address.

Was prob written off due to the age more than anything has also had alignment setup done by progrip so drive true.

Also has new steering bar and track rods.

Just general ones really showing all round, inside, engine bay, underneath if possible, not a lot really lol
Any areas of concern that you know about ? I am currently on holiday up in Aviemore until Saturday, then all being well, would like to come and have a look. I,m located just outside Dunfermline.

Aye no bother bud only bit of concern that i planned to do in the future was the pass side bulkhead pillar has a couple holes the drivers one is a brand new one.

weve had it up on a ramp and went over full chassis with the hammer and screwdriver and only bit we found was the drivers side front outrigger managed to poke a 20p size hle in it so the whole outrigger was taken off and a brand new one fitted.

The engine drips a bit oil from time to time as they all seem to do.

Aye not bad eh i was actually really amazed with how good it was for running about in. Iv put alot of time and effort and money in to get it how it is.

Iv stuck a load of pics up here for people to see rather than emailing everyone.  please excue the mess in the back its just stuff from clearing the house for selling that.

That's a really nice series for the money long time since I've seen one as nice be a shame to off-road it with such nice tidy bodywork good luck selling it if I had a spare couple of grand I'd be buying it. How many gallons of veg oil for a swap or would that upset the admin guys
