Looking for a Landrover
« on: December 18, 2011, 10:05:45 PM »
Hi everyone,

As an ex member of your club I am trying to get back into owning a good old Landrover or Rangerover, I currently have a lovely Ford Capri 2.8i which is taxed and tested till well into next year, has LSD,S/S Exhausts, amazing history and valued around ?3500 although I would take less for it, OR if anyone out there would like to swap their Landrover/rangerover I would be happy to talk, to make the deal more interesting I would swap for the right Landrover even if valued at ?2500 that would allow the other party to make a few bob.
These old Fords are appreciating and will only go up in price as have the ecsorts which are now crazy money,

cheers

Donald ( 07742174043 )

Hope this works....

Capri is valued at ?4250 by Practical classic magazine...I would sell for ?3500 or swap for right 4 x 4 around ?3000,

Hi,

I have a couple of possible deals on the go , one for a 1984 Landrover pick up and one for a 1971 Landrover so hoping that I will be able to do a deal with one of them and re-join your club......

Hoping I will have some photo's to show you soon,

fingers crossed,

Donald.

Thanks Defenderdeb,

Not a good time of year to get a deal done, so many time wasters out there also, anyway I will keep trying and see what happens ,

Cheers

Cheers Everyone,

I have just accepted an offer on the Capri with the plan for the guy to collect next Saturday, if all goes to plan I will be looking for a nice old Landrover between 2000 - 3000,  I would prefer to buy from a club member that way it should be one that's been looked after !!!!  I will wait till I have the cash in hand then I will ask again on here if anyone knows of a good old landie,

Cheers

Donald.

or on the other hand, one that has been well battered. Some of our land rovers have a hard life and are well abused ;D

Okay everyone,

Capri will be away tomorrow morning and as I very impatient I want to have my next 4x4 very soon , so if you know of anything for sale please feel free to let me know, I have around 2500 to spend and I know of a minted classic rangerover 1994 only 80k miles with FSH in beautiful green and 4.2 petrol engine but I have not ruled out an old landrover .   Hope to be re-joining your club very soon and attending some events,

Cheers
