range rover 2.5 vm diesel engine bought over a year ago to fit to my series 3 but i have decided on a different engine for my project comes with starter turbo injectors pump etc a complete engine from a older still range rover but was assured to be a good runner changed my mind again for my series 3 so taking up a fair bit of space at rear of garage looking for a decent offer call on 07875097458 thanks

Would be interested in the engine....is it an LT77 with it? Would rather keep the series box in mine tbh.

not sure on gearbox model sounds fair enough price for engine and if you are not after gearbox i will hold onto it till a later date i am 15 miles east of glasgow in carnbroe coatbridge thanks

just wondering if the engine would be of use to you not being pushy just decided this is the year my series 3 WILL go back on the road lol so trying to clear any surplus stuff to let me get in and out the garage save any excuses for not getting into garage to get started

would this engine bolt on to my 1980 series 3 gearbox and into my series 3?

maybe some other more clued up members could verify but i have measured roughly and i was going to put engine and box into my series 3 although its longer i think the mounts would have to be modified where the gearstick sits on the floor i personally believe it could be done not problem but i have changed my plans hense sale but its a fraction of the price i tried to find 300tdi engines at thanks

its one of those things am more beat for space than anything cause its the kinda thing i will use in a future project but right now if it goes i would rather see it used and gain the space for now because something else always comes up

Thats what I wanted to do with it (same year Series as well!), however money is not available to buy it the now.

There are people who have done it, but the main question is what the bellhousing pattern of bolts is because the LT77 had 3 different bellhousings, V8, VM and Tdi.
