Brake warning light

300 Tdi 90

So... I changed a CV joint earlier in the week and in the doing managed to knacker the short copper brake pipe at the caliper There was some leakage of fluid but I managed to seal it before much got out. I've replaced the pipe and bled the caliper till just fluid came out, checked for leaks etc. The brake pedal is firm no spongeyness, the brakes work, albeit a bit of a pull to one side, which I'm thinking is due to oil/grease on the disc maybe.... The fluid in the reservoir was down near the bottom so I've filled that up. The pads are getting low but still have a few mm of life left in them.

....but the brake warning light - the (!) one - will not go out.

Ideas ?

Thats a thought - but where is the sensor/switch ? No sign of any wires at the reservoir.  :-\ :-\

i would have thought they were on the filler cap, maybe it doesn't have that system, looking at the wiring this lamp appears to be connected to a switch on the pedal,
had a quick google and theres mention of the switch measuring too much travel on the brake pedal, maybe sh1te tho.

There is a pressure switch thingy(sorry for the description) on the junction of brake pipe on the bulkhead at the drivers footwell. pull the wire off if light goes out its that thats knacked.
