Just selling this as i dont use it,so time has come to part with it.
Here is a description of the vehicle and the pistonheads link.

Land rover discovery 4.0L v8 1999
Dark blue in colour, genuine 49,000 miles (vosa certified)12 months mot,6months tax, service history,5 seat gs model, cloth interior, twin sunroofs, electric windows, electric mirrors, dual zone air conditioning, hill decent control, central locking,2 keys, harman kardon sound system with 6 disc c-d player, rear step,16 inch alloys with bf goodrich mud terrain tyres with plenty of tread left, new 8 inch wipac spotlights excellent condition inside and out.

From my ownership and the previous owners there has been absolutely no record of the car ever being off road and isnt the usual bashed up discoverys u see driving around, car really has had a cherished life and drives very nice indeed, pulls very well as all v8,s do and changes gear very smoothly indeed.
Only selling as the car never gets used.
?5250

Would consider a big engined saloon or estate car as a part exchange, must be petrol.

Do any of you guys think this is a unrealistic price?
I have price matched it with cars on ebay and a like and it is priced well.
Theres ones with 80-90k on the clock for anywere between 4.5-5k.
Just looking for advice aswell.
Cheers jay.

Very nice,
I take it that it has a manual gearbox!

I would change your Pistonhead adverts to autobox, if it doesnt say i think most people are like me and asume a manual..

Its a good price if you find someone after a very nice looking V8 with petrol prices at ?6.15 a gallon.
The thing about the other peoples 'asking prices' is, are they getting their vehicles sold.

I am tempted to look, but sadly LPG is becoming too expensive now to even think about converting.
All the best with getting it sold.

I have bought and sold a couple of cars recently and I have used http://www.wisebuyers.co.uk/motoring/used-car-prices/ as a reference for prices and have found the prices they suggest to be just about spot on.
I am not a trader or connected with the motor trade.

Stolen from wisebuyer

retail:   £2,843
The valuations quoted are prices you should aim to pay for a used car, not the advertised price. You should adjust your valuation to allow for extras that were not standard specification.

Well a quick swatch at Ebay shows several cars of a similar vintage with classified ads on at ?2-2.5K - but who knows what condition they are in.  Give it a shot and you can always come down if it fails to sell ?
If its not broken you are not trying hard enough....

Anyone coming over to look at this very fresh disco  ???
Not asking for the ?5250,will certainly take money off the asking price.

I think you are asking far too much for your car.  The average price of the cars you linked to on ebay is ?4250, these are all being sold by dealers and remember these are only the advertised price, not what the cars are worth.  According to the wisebuyer stats private sales are about 75% cheaper than buying from a dealer.  That would put your cars price at about ?3150 and I still think you will struggle to sell it for that.
Sorry, just trying to help.
