I found oil leaking, thought it was the diff gasket, changed that with no effect. on real close inspection, just above the weld seam on the rear side of the axle had parted allowing the oil leak. Now temp repair with liquid metal as I think it will not stand up to any off roading. Tha axle shows no sign of being bashed. I will get the oil drained grind off the weld and reweld when I get the chance. Many thanks for any info given.
