Leaf Sprung RTV
« on: July 04, 2011, 11:15:41 AM »
It must be something to do with Leafer owners reluctance to move with the times, that no one has posted about how brilliant yesterday was!

The way the sections were set out just proved how the oldies can still do things more expensive and moderns motors can (without the luxury of power steering.  What was also good was that despite some guys spending lots of dosh restoring their motors, they were'nt scared to put them through their paces.

Despite my slight technical miscalculation on the last section, I thought yesterday was an excellent day out.  A big thanks to Alex and all the marshalls and especially those who got me and my motor back on it's wheels and pointing in the right direction.

Anyone got a spare wing for a series 2a?

Duncan

A great day. Amazing weather. Can't wait to see the pictures.
We all know that small cars are good for us. But so is cod liver oil. And jogging.

I was only there until lunchtime to spectate and really enjoyed myself.
I shot some footage which can be found here.

It was a fantastic day, nice long sections. Dare I say perhaps a bit too much sun!

Cheers

What a weekend, scorching sun, driving about the hills, nae midges ;D
I can't believe I drove up it, down it & through it. Couple of loose bolts & scratch to the paint work. That ain't too bad for the first outing.
Thanks to the guys for setting it all up and the burger van.

Absolutely fabulous event with fantastic weather. I got my best RTV score ever in me lightweight. Maybe I should use that for the RTV competition rounds?  ;D
