Clutch problem
« on: June 24, 2011, 03:16:39 PM »
Hi

I've just fitted a reconditioned gearbox to my 1994 Classic tdi. All seemed to be going so well until I got in, hoping to take the thing for a test drive, to find the clutch goes down and stays there.

I'm certain I put it all together correctly, in fact I fitted a new clutch which seemed sensible. I can't for the life of me think what may have gone wrong, and I really don't relish the prospect of removing the whole lot again.

Could anyone perhaps shed some light on what may be the problem?

Many thanks

Richard

Have you bleed the clutch and put that little pin in between the fork and slave cylinder.
