Ah

-what a frustrating evening I have just had being midged to death in Argyll dong what should have been a 60min job replacing the front break shoes on my SWB.
I was using "britpart" replacement shoes. Cleaned out the break drum etc etc. so everything should have been straight forward. Positioned the snail cam adjusters so it was backed off to the min etc. but when I put the wheel on the break just seized on solid and, with the snail cam already at minimum nothing left to back it off further. Double checked all the feet of the shoes sitting correctly in the pivots and expander etc etc. - but in the end had to dress the old shoes and put them back in.
Has anyone else had this problem when fitting new break shoes. I thought brit part bits were OK - do they sometimes get the tolerances wrong? - I could get the break to start binding if I pushed the drum centrally (not from the side) hard onto the hub, putting the wheel on and tightening up just replicated that but much more ie seized solid.
So sitting here scratching my head
![Huh ???](http://www.slroc.co.uk/forum/Smileys/default/huh.gif)
- any ideas anyone?
Thanks
Stephen
