probably a stupid question but whats the body like?

I reckon that under hard braking you could take the body off without looking at the bolts.  At best it could be described as meeting the Discovery spaceframe underside.  All body panels are in good nick though.

As discussed, i am looking for the power steering pipe (high pressure from the pump to steering box).

Hi,

just wondered what type of diffs it has fitted, Ratio and spline, Wondering if they woud fit my 2a

They are standard Discovery Diffs 3.54:1 ratio and will be 24 spline

Don't know if they fit the series axle casing - someone else on the Fourm will know if they fit.  Later series axles had 24 spline halfshafts

The diffs will fit the casing.... however the half-shafts are 12 spline, so won't fit (and you can't swap to 24 splines without a load of work... or money)

Thanks, i know there are some early Disco's up to about m/n reg have the same splines, thought my luck might have been in, Currently have a Perkins 4.203 so could do with a higher ratio diff to get over 50 mph
