My Hero
« on: March 21, 2011, 11:37:03 AM »
When the High/Low change clevis snapped mid-change from High to Low in the middle of nowhere during yesterday?s Green Road Run, leaving me with no drive, who, on his Sunday away from fixing Land Rovers jumped straight in and got me going again?
I give you  ALEX LINDSAY. Not only sorting my problem out, but also giving my Navigator, Lauryn a handful of sweets to keep her occupied.
Thanks again, Alex, and also thanks to Andy Norrie for waiting back till we were mobile.
Geoff :)

New clevis ordered from Lr Direct yesterday afternoon. Arrived this morning. Now fitted and working. Will wait for the plastic body nuts and self tapping acme screws to fit the tunnel back on.
Good result all round.

Thanks, Jon. I've sent off for some from ebay. The screws are a lot cheaper if you don't get Land Rover ones!!
When Alex and me were taking the tunnel off on Sunday, it was held to the floor by (rusty) nuts and bolts.

No problem. That's always the way though. I got them ages ago and never used them.
