Newbie saying hello
« on: March 01, 2011, 09:34:57 PM »
Hi there,
Been lurking for some time while looking for a Disco 1. Saw a nice Range Rover Classic locally and bought it. A few teething troubles with LPG system. Now seem to be settling and getting out and about in her.
1993 Vogue SE, on coils, boot floor replaced in past and in pretty good condition overall. Needs a good clean now!
Live near Livingston and work in Wishaw so if you see a blue L reg classic, give me a wave.
Cheers,
George

Filled in a few more car details. Have a Pewter Blue Kia Sorento on LPG, nice V6 but didn't cure the Land Rover bug. Years ago we had a defender 110CSW which my wife and I both loved. The Rangie is for a bit of variety for time being!

I've had a couple of discos, a blue 300tdi and a red td5. Sold em when I sold my caravan but missed the landies so bought the freelander, its been a pig in a poke, vcu knackered and doing the cyl head gasket just now, but its a landie and I love driving it so will soldier on, it cant have much more wrong with it, surely, lol.

Hi George,

Saw you this morning just as you passed Asda at Newmains... didn't wave though cos I was inmy 'other' car and not my landrover...

I work just off the A71 @ Shotts.

Ann.

Hi Ann,
I'm along the A71 most days, not always in the Rangie. Hopefully more often in future. What Landie do you drive, in case I am in one of the rest of the fleet....!
Cheers,
George
