What are you wanting to do with it?

Race? trial? road-use only?
SLROC club championships or Scottish Comp Championship?

Keep an eye on AWDC classifieds and obviously eBay.  There are 3 on there at the moment, none of which are in Scotland. . .

Also worth a call here to see if there is anything for sale or they know of a customer
selling something that might suit your requirements.

The Simmonites had a pretty nifty Bowler for sale recently on e-bay. Don't know if it sold?

Also interms of getting these tomcats on the road, how are they described on the V5?, do they need a sva test?, and what determines the year of reg plate?, the donor chassis or?

If you want to score points in the Land Rover Club CCVs & Land Rover Club part of the Comp Championship, it basically needs to be an 88" tomcat.

If you want to do the Scottish Comp Championship, the Brittish Cross Country Championship and/or AWCD/NORC events, then a longer tomcat or a wildcat is just fine.

The whole area of hybrids & road-legality is a grey area - but basically it's down to the 15-point rule (search google for "15-point rule for vehicle identity")
