Power steering on disco
« on: December 20, 2010, 08:24:58 PM »
Morning all,

Its been a while and man im missing the landy questions and answers. How are we all on this fine day? Anyway the question in hand, my dads disco is playing up again, surprise surpirse some would say, anyway its something to do with the power steering, so what he has told me is if the revs are kept high the power steering works if not it doesnt, so could this be the pump or the box?

If someone could get back to me with some idea i would be ever so happy,

Its a disco, K reg.

cheers folks.

Pardon my ignorance but is the pump belt driven?

If so it could be something as simple as the belt is slack or the tensioner is gubbed

would i be right in saying the belt is the same as the defender belt, a big huge ass thing? which runs everything?

if so it could be the problem.
