Got a  rear disco axle i changed its internals for the defenders diff and driveshafts and 2 driveshaft roller bearing only part diffrent i found.
Straight swap. I have no idea how you remove them rubber mounts for disco props.

I know ! The 2a is parked up immobile in the one shed I can get a LR in, so the 90s gearbox oil got changed lying on a plastic sheet on the snow :-(

Its not got above freezing all day here so the "thaw" has yet to do its job on our track - so my car is still stuck at the house. OK, I enjot driving the LR but its flaming expensive when the daily commute is 150 miles !

Hi Bill,
there's no prop made to fit as this wasn't a factory fit, the closest would be for a 2002 onwards 110 which has a p38 range rover diff with a shorter nose than the salisbury so might be closer in length. It's either that or propshaft services and have one made.
I would have left the salisbury on the 110 as it's 4 pin and pretty bullet proof even if its still got drums and put the disco rear on the 90 to give disc brakes on the rear, it's a straight swap onto the 90 once the diff flange is changed.

 cheers,
           Stevie.

Sorry mate, don't mean to be negative. I would measure from flange on transfer box to diff flange with the 110 sitting with the weight on its wheels, take the new length required and phone propshaft services for a price to have one made up out of your original prop. This would be quicker than trying to match one up.

 cheers,
            Stevie.
