Forgive me for posting this here, I'm fairly new to the whole landrover thing, but today I used hill descent and got to go through some rather large puddles - was having a garbage day up til that point - the puddles really cheered me up

I love off roading!!!! (but sshhhh don;t tell the hubby

you thought about trying the freebie in a tyro? you could try hdc and traction control, even better value for money

Hi Jumbo,  I'll need to look more into the Tyro , etc - not quite sure about these things yet.  Need to start asking questions and attending I suppose:)

i just turned up and worked it out as i went lol
as long as your a member and your car is road legal then your in
its great fun, its not hard to understand the rules and theres always plenty folk to keep you right or get you out when you get into trouble lol (trust me from experience ) but its a great day out. dont worry about the 'competition' part, i dont. 

I'll go with Doug on that one-Tyro's are a great way to break yourself in gently...even in a leafsprung 109 stationwagon!!!! Passengers usually bail out though!!!

As for puddles...mmm well, i dont need to go through puddles to get my feet wet!!
