Hi all
« on: November 01, 2010, 03:04:32 PM »
Well, just got my acceptance mail through, so I though I'd just drop a quick post to say hi to one and all.

Tryed to update my profile, but for some reason it won't accept a pictue of The Dirty General. My 110 G4 Defender

Previous landys owned,
2 x 109 safari's
1 x SWB S3 pick-up...
1 x 110 TD Defender
and now
110 200TDi Defender - The Dirty General.

Hope to get involved with meets and events next year so I'll be keeping a eye on the forum for up and coming events and meets.
And as the name says, Its the DIRTY general. This ain't no spit n polish road landy
Anyone out there see me, I always wave at Series & 90/110's

I don't think the forum is setup to allow uploads. You'll need to upload it somewhere else (e.g. photobucket) and link to it.

Hahahaha,
G4 paint job... Have a look underneath one and you'll see where the real mods are done.  ;)

And no, wrong side and other end of the country.  ::)

As for the meets, I'm working away till the first week in Dec, and then home for 5 weeks, so if I see a meet during Dec I'll try and make it..
Probally snow event...  ;D ;D ;D

Welcome to the forum.

What does a standard 110 G4 limited Edition (decals, colour, cage, A bar, Lights, side steps)
have thats different underneath from any other 110 of the same age,
or
is yours a copy of a G4 110 or have you retro fitted the engine?
 i imagine that by 2003 event G4 110's had TD5 engines & not 200tdi's
The Camel Trophy 110's were 300TDi's by 1995.

Simple question asked simply i thought, :(
& it merits a comment from the 2 most scathing forum users i know,
 other than myself. ;)
love it,
 but that forums for you.

Exchanged PM's with Landynick thanks,
he has invited me to see his G4 110 with a 200tdi engine,
which i think was a very nice gesture.

I don't worry about the replies.  ::)
Thick skinned and as a member of an ex-pat forum based around a country in W. Africa where I work, we're used to keyboard warriors.
But I will make a point of meeting up with georgew and discussing further.

Anyways, once again, hi to all and hope to meet some of you from begining of next year onwards.

I like that reply, puts me properly in my place,
looking forward to hearing the history of the vehicle,.
keyboard warriors like me are always interested in others vehicles, having none ourselfs.

Does that mean you have a 110 Defender built for the Official G4 events sometime after 2000 to 2008 but
now fitted with a 200TDi engine?
I pm'd my email if you can send any pictures thanks.
