Discovery 300 tdi problem
« on: June 22, 2010, 07:31:43 PM »
Hi Folks, im looking for some advive on 2 problems im having with my Discovery,

1, The ABS light pops up now and again and i have had it hooked up to diagnostics and all sensor`s are cleaned, checked and working but sometimes when i go to brake the ABS activates and its like im braking whilst on ice.

2, On initial start up in the morning its starts first turn of the key but when im pulling away it seems to be lacking power and i get a puff of blueish smoke and then it runs fine for the rest of the day!!!

I have blanked the EGR valve and fitted a De- cat pipe and it had a new fuel lift pump only 4 weeks ago!!

Any ideas? :-\

1. could it be a short in the circuit? mabye at the switch, that only happens when the pedal is depressed,

is there any way you can hook it up to diagnostics whilst driving?

1. most certainly a wheel sensor.  Check with a DVM.
