R380 gearbox and transferbox for sale removed from a Discovery ES with 108000 on the clock. Excellent condition with no clunk between 1st and 2nd. No slap in the transfer box. Nice and smooth drive. ?150

Its off a TDI but maybe I'm stupid as I thought thier was not a difference. Only in the bell housing. I fitted a R380 from a disco tdi into my RRC V8? No problem

There is indeed a difference, the ratios in the main box are not the same. V8 doesn't have the same torque at low revs so needs a lower first gear. The gears are also spaced differently because the V8 will do 5.5k rpm or more but the diesel does about 4-4.5k
