90 rear headlining
« on: April 13, 2010, 07:16:41 PM »
For sale

Defender 90 rear head lining. Had it in mine for about 2 years but decided on a change of plan - so it needs to come out

has a hole cut in it for the roof light (not included) but is in good shape apart from that

Hey Jumbo
What were you planning to use to stick the carpet on? I've heard that spray adhesive is no good. Apprently  with the heat from the sun, (obviously not written by a Scottish landy owner),that the glue breaks down. Or something of that effect.
I was going to do my 110 but was havingwithcarpet or vinyl but now having 2nd thoughts ???

read in junes lro recently a guy used glue, although the glue needed cost more than the carpet. he did up a pink (yes pink ??? ) 88inch for his daughter. paid ?17 for carpet, ?35 for gue. doesnt say what type of glue was used though

I remeber seeing that, and it was pink inside & out.  At least you can always paint it a proper colour.
I you look atheadlining material as aposed to carpet, avoid the foam back materials. The glue never takes very well to this and some glues react to the foam.
Maybe get a dozen different glues and do a moziac in the back to find out which one holds the lognest.
This jobis furter down the to do list for me. :-\

'Merlin Spray Glue'
Around ?6 for the small can, which is easy to use.
I spray lightly both surfaces when ready to fit,
& let it go off a little before putting surfaces together. (be carefull doing it this way, must be right first time)
I used to get it at Car Shows from the Carpet/Trim seller stands,
 now widely available.

Better IMO than Evo-Stick or Ever Build spray glue.
