my thoughts exactly it would be handy if some of us could bring some bow saws or even a small chain saw then we could get the wood stocked etc to keep it going.

I camp at least once a year in Glen Rosa on Arran and we cook all the food over log fires for the entire time we are there, there are lots of fallen trees around so no shortage of fuel just the energy to collect and chop it into suitable sizes.

Not the scouts, Boys Brigade for me could never get into the shorts ::) and the dib dib dob palava :D

3.5hrs? Whare do you live Doug?? When i went through to Oban last year for the ferry, it took me a couple of hours.

Just refered to the MAP :o :o, I'm on A91, then cut across onto A823 upto Crieff, along A85,to Crianlarich, join A82 to Tyndrum to meet everyone else....as Mr Meerkat would say....'simple'!!! ;D ;D

If leaving Friday, will leave early, or might go up night before and find somewhere to stay. Not decided on that one yet....i take it the meeting place is still Tyndrum?

I was thinking of leaving about 9am and stopping in Crieff at my Mums, free coffee and bacon buttie ;) ;) ;) then up to the "metal percussion instrument" for about 10.30 11.00 am

Is anybody bringing their cb's ?

Just sent my roof rack away to be galvanised, this was really cheap as I did it on the back of a local sheet metal company who are happy to let anybody drop off items basically you pay the weight of the item at the rate of ?400 per ton. Roof rack cost me less than ?30 SO A BARGAIN :D :D :D and they will retap the threads for a bit extra.
Have read the reviews of the site and it seems perfect for us must remember to order the skin so soft from Avon, "Ding dong Avon calling" as the wee midges do not like it and if I remember May and June are prime months for the midges
What sort of attachment apart from a bent pin would be needed for the fishing line to catch the tea incase my Harrods Food Hall purchase has not fully defrosted ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I will probably leave at 8 if its only me, and if Morag tags along it will be nearer lunchtime before I get away. (Its a long story)
Takes me 30 minutes to pick up the van.
If its only me then I think I will leave the van and bring the canvas, quite enjoy the camping but Morag prefers a bit more comfort.
She is still contemplating wheather to join us or not.

Dont know how you get your tribe to move at sparrow f**t John, I need two pun of semtex to get them out their pit

Subject to the traffic the "Black Beauty" should eat the road in about two hours, then depending on the ferry availability be on site 30 mins later.

Not sure what the law states about a 110, towing a caravan, towing a 110, towing a caravan ::) ::) just pray you get clear of the snaking road bits around the Loch, Plod would just love you for that. :)
Maybe we can catch up on SUnday at the GRR, maybe have a wee "committee" meeting"
