I see that a "Throttle safety spring" is required for entry to some outings. Forgive my ignorance, but can anyone tell me specifically what additional kit this is, and where woudl I be able to buy it (for a P38)?

Am not an expert but suspect you won’t need one - suspect you’re not trialling?  I fitted a couple of these when I trialled a few years back but that was on a carb and essentially, ensured throttle closed in event of any issue.  To put in context, at the same time I fitted I was also ensuring my roll cage and so on, were compliant.

Think you’ll be ok but dependant on event type, I suspect.

Alan.

It’s only required for specific events like mud master or trials. I was also told by the scrutineers that it is only required for older cars, eg series vehicles, not modern ones like 300 tdi etc.
