Discovery 2 2.5 td5 for sale
« on: April 05, 2018, 07:20:05 PM »
Bargain for £750.
2004. Just under 100000 miles. Chassis needs a bit of welding so selling for parts, unless somebody wants a project. Engine, gearbox etc still young and in good Nick. 5 alloy wheels. Am looking for reasonable offers to take entire vehicle away(mot expires 13th April) so quick responders can drive it away. If offering please take into account what would need to be paid for the main parts.

Engine/gearbox etc has done 99500 miles so these alone are worth kicking on for a grand, judging from ebay prices. Would let the entire vehicle go for 800. Mot expires next Friday so it can be driven away in the next week. Am in Livingston btw.

Points to note, the new owner/buyer would have to tax it before driving away irrespective of MOT! The tax is not transferable.

It still needs to be roadworthy, valid MOT or not. Knowingly driving or using an unroadworthy vehicle on a public road is an offence & it would appear from the advert that the seller is aware that the vehicle is unlikely to pass an MOT in it's present condition. It follows therefore that the buyer would be aware of this, so should have it transported away. It could also invalidate insurance cover depending what defects are present. An MOT is a standard never to fall below not a mountain to climb once a year!
