As far as I know......
The 10 spline differential and the 24 spline differential have the same basic dimensions, except for the mounting flange on the 24 spline is thicker around the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions (if that makes sense).
What it means is that you can fit a 24 spline to a 10 spline axle case, but you may have to change 4 of the mounting studs in the axle for longer ones, conversely fitting a 10 spline diff to a 24 spline casing will leave some extra protruding threads on 4 of the studs.
I also found that fitting a 24 spline diff to a 10 spline axle involved 'adjusting' the axle case with a grinder to allow the larger bearing caps to slide through the aperture in the case.
