Last year I was contacted by Emrys Kirby who is from Classic Land rover magazine wanting to write a story about my 80's. Emrys is from the North Yorkshire area, he came up  one day last summer for tea scones and a chat here is the story he gave about Stumpy  8)

Great article and a great looking motor. I always thought 'Stumpy' was a classic trialler - I didn't realise it was essentially a shortened disco with a scratch-built body. Just shows how professional the build was.
